Solar Rhythm: Beltane 2025

Beltane is the cross-quarter point on the Wheel of the Year following the Spring Equinox. Also known as May Day, it marks the Earth's turning toward summer. The flowers are in full bloom, the days stretch longer, and nature bursts with life and possibility.

This seasonal gateway honors the peak of fertility, the rising fire of creation, and the sacred union that brings new life into form. The young “sun” or “son” that was born at Winter Solstice has matured into a vibrant Solar Fire God. At Beltane, he joins with the Earth Goddess in the great sacred marriage—igniting the energy needed to fertilize the fields for a bountiful harvest. This powerful alchemy of Earth and Fire is honored through feasting, ritual, and symbols of union like the Maypole, which celebrates the weaving together of masculine and feminine principles.

But this sacred union doesn’t just exist in the mythic or agricultural realms—it lives inside each of us.

We each carry the feminine and masculine principles as part of our inner creation team, and Beltane offers a potent invitation to explore how these energies are partnering within us. For any creation to fully blossom—whether it’s a vision, a business, or a relationship—this inner union must be aligned and alive.
